Don’t think yourself out of success

Most successful people are not more talented or smarter than you. They just went for it. People often times talk themselves out of success, just because of fear. Fear of failure, fear of embarrassment, fear of criticism, and fear in general. Success is not brains but balls. Stop thinking too much about it and go for it. There are a lot of stupid people that succeeded because they took action.

Society thinks that the smarter you are, the more likely you are to succeed in life, but this is not true. We see this in schools and colleges especially, when someone gets good grades, we think that they are going to succeed later in life, only to find them working an average job. That’s because the academic world has nothing to do with the real world. Good grades does not mean good in building profitable businesses.

There are three types of people. The dumb ones, the smart ones and the geniuses. The smart ones, that usually follow the conventional path of traditional higher education, and who usually act based on what they’ve learn in college and follow rules and overanalyze and plan everything out in a step by step process, are the guys that find it most difficult to succeed in life, as life is not linear and not logical. The dumb ones and the geniuses, that act mainly on instinct, ignoring society’s standards, statistics and “experts”, are the ones that are most likely to succeed in life.

Results come out of actions. Not planning, not analyzing, not strategizing, not thinking and wishing and hoping BUT from taking action. It doesn’t matter whether you know what you’re doing or not. Just having faith to God and doing it anyways, even if the odds are against you and the normal average guy would not do it because is the “logical” thing to do, something magical happens. You trigger the algorithm of life. You create a ripple effect in the mental world, you inject your personality into the world through your actions and you start moving and attracting things in a way that’s not “logical”.

How many times have you seen someone succeed from something very small, simple and stupid, and you said, “I could’ve done that, and in a better way.”? You just didn’t and he did. It’s not about your skills and knowledge, it’s about the application of them. Knowledge is not power BUT the application of it.

Another one big reason, if not the biggest reason, that people stay average and mediocre, depriving themselves from their potential, is not expanding their comfort zone. You either expand your bubble of reality, or you stay within it, with the things that you currently have and the things that you currently do.

There’s nothing wrong with that of course, but if you want more, if you want change, if you want to take your life to the next level, you have to expand your comfort zone, you have to do things you never did, you have to put yourself in uncomfortable and unfamiliar situations, you have to expand your bubble of reality. Constant discomfort breeds happiness.

Comfortable people are most likely to be miserable and you can see that today. They have a stable salary, a stable job, a stable average life, and they are miserable. That’s because the don’t expand their bubble of reality. They are afraid of criticism or failure. They seek happiness through comfort but seeking happiness as a man is putting yourself is challenging situations and overcoming them, setting goals and achieving them, raising your bar limitation, doing different things, chasing your dreams and risking your average life.

What’s risk anyway? We all are going to die. Don’t wait till you come to your deathbed to regret the choices you didn’t make. You always have to reinvent yourself. No one told you have to become a certain type of guy for the rest of your life. There are no rules in that. It’s all in your mind.

Reinvent yourself, try new things, try new jobs, build a different business, go for the hard things, go for the unfamiliar until it becomes familiar and then expand again. Keep expanding, keep growing, keep experimenting, keep building, keep doing and experiencing things, keep creating stories and memories to tell, live life to the fullest and stop being afraid of mediocre and miserable people.
