When you are fully focused on the present moment, not only challenges will dissipate, but you’ll realize that there aren't any. Of course you have to pay the bills by the end of the month and you have other responsibilities but when you keep your mind still without letting it project into the past or the future you’ll realize that right now, at this moment, you are okay.
When you realize that, your perspective about life will change, and when you make it a habit to be fully present and calm no matter what’s going on, your reality will start reflecting that back to you.

We are our reality and this body of ours is just an extension of our consciousness. We are not only our body but everything and everyone that you see in this reality. We are all one, and the more you meditate on this and the more you think about it, the more you realize that you are the cause of external events.
The higher your consciousness the more you see that. You loose the power only if you get out of the present moment. Most people are not even aware of what is going on around them, they are not living here right now actually but on some other time of the past or the future, and this is one of the main causes of their suffering.
Suffering doesn’t really exist, it only exists when we unplug ourselves from the source of life, from the power that only exists in the present moment.
My personal experiences with being present
When a challenge appears in your life, the way you react will determine how easy and fast you’ll overcome it. I started practicing that at my job.
We have to meet the expectations of our customers, and they all have different expectations. This makes it difficult for us to satisfy them all. When I am working and I face a challenge with a customer, I try to remain in a calm state, without letting my mind loose its peace.
This powerful state is somehow reflected outwards in my environment, and all the challenges seem to fade away. Inspired solutions come from nowhere, problem solving becomes a lot easier, and sometimes things fall into place by themselves.

This happens in my workplace only when I’m there. As soon as I leave, challenges and problems start arising again. I don’t really know if I’m just lucky and when I’m there every challenge fades away, but I experience that almost everyday since I started practicing being present and calm.
Somehow from that day everything seems to be solved by itself or from others, and I put little to no effort sometimes to get the results that I want. Inspiration hits me more often and I get results effortlessly whereas I would need a lot of physical and mental effort to get them if I was operating from the low state of mind that I had before.
In another one situation that presence and a calm mind helped me improve my life and go through a challenge was the pandemic during these last 2 years.
Many people lost their jobs, their businesses, their life savings and got mental health problems because of all the stress. I saw it as an opportunity to practice my stillness. I started reading books and articles on Stoic philosophy and I can say it helped me a lot during this last 2 years.
I became fully present and neutral to external challenges. Although everyone was suffering financially, I somehow managed to make a really good amount of money.
I started researching blockchain projects that solve real world problems and invested most of my savings on them without any fear, and a few months later it payed back more than I could imagine. I also wrote a book, started a blog, got 2 master degrees and somehow got a job promotion. All of that during hard times when the world was suffering financially.
I don’t know if I was lucky again, but the odds of me achieving all of that during that time was against me but, I somehow exceeded my expectations. I don’t think luck exists. I believe lucky people are only the ones that win the lottery. Other than that is your mindset and reactions on what life, or your mind, throws at you.
No matter what is going on outside, your mind determines your life circumstances. I don’t know other people’s reaction of the pandemic and the lockdowns, but most of them were in survival mode, they were so afraid from the virus that they got sick.
2 years now and didn’t even got the virus even though people close to me got it. I don’t know if I was lucky again but come on, it was becoming obvious to me that my life circumstances are a byproduct of my mind. People fear the virus and because of that fear they attracted the virus in their system.
People fear economic disaster or the loss of their business and jobs, and they attracted exactly what they were afraid of. All of our life circumstances are a byproduct of our expectation and state of being.

Personal thoughts on the nature of our reality
If you go deep down to the core fundamentals of our reality, you’ll realize that everything and everyone consists of atoms and particles and every feeling that we have is just a chemical reaction that is happening in our brains. Our eyes are just the filters of light. If you really sit and think about it, there’s nothing really out there, everything is happening in our mind, and the cause of all those experiences is our mind, our state of being.
You are everything and everyone, you are the cause of all the experiences that you had, that you have, and that you’ll have down the road. If you want better experiences, change the cause, your thinking and state of being. Your reality is but a reflection of your past thoughts and feelings.

If you continue to act as you have always acted, you will continue to get what you have always gotten. If you want different results in your life or your work, all you have to do is change your mind.
That doesn’t mean that this is how things really are, or that I have all the answers and figured life out. I’m not an expert or any better than you. That’s my model of thinking, that’s what I personally believe about this reality, and that’s what worked for me so far. I’m on the same journey as you, becoming a better person and offering value to the world. This thought of how things work might not even touch how things really are, but this model of thinking helped me pretty well so far and I hope it will help others as well.
