Poorness is An Illness

Updated: Sep 6, 2022

Did you ever notice that most of the poor people, are not poor only with their finances? They’re poor with their knowledge, poor with their diet, poor with their relationships, poor with their faith to God, poor with their self-love and self-respect, and generally they are poor in almost every area of their life.

Do you ever wonder why’s that? It’s because poorness is an illness. There is a difference between being broke and being poor. Being broke is temporary. Being poor is a state of mind. One example is Elon Musk. Elon Musk was broke and one of the richest man in the world at the same time. You can call Elon broke but you cannot call him poor. You get the difference now?

Being poor is a state of mind. It’s the lack of self-respect. When you give up on life and everyone else.

“Poor is a state of mind you never grow out of, but being broke is just a temporary condition” — Dick Gregory

There is a book called Power vs Force by David R. Hawkins that mentions something very important about poor people. Each of us have a vibration and we vibrate at certain frequency depending on our main emotional state.

Wealthy people vibrate higher and poor people vibrate lower. Higher vibrations are the emotions of Love, Joy, Peace and lower vibrations are the emotions of Fear, Guilt, Shame. People will say that wealthy people feel good because they are already rich but the truth is, they are rich BECAUSE they feel good. Poor people are poor BECAUSE they have these low emotional states as their standard.

So David R. Hawkins says in his book that the lower you vibrate, the poorer you become, financially, emotionally, mentally and intellectually. Being poor is not only visible in someone’s finances but in every area of his life as well. This is why he calls poorness an illness. Again, don’t mistake poorness with being broke, these are two different things.

How do we prevent ourselves from getting that illness?

What’s your relationship with yourself and with life? That’s the first thing that you have to look at. Do you love life? Do you see beauty in it although it seems that there’s chaos going on everywhere? Are you optimistic? Do you believe that life is about to bring something beautiful out of all this chaos?

If no then, you have to change your state of mind. You have to change the way you look at life because when you do that, this is when you start noticing opportunities that can improve your life. You also start radiating a more positive energy around you and, like attracts like. If you don’t give energy to the negative and keep being positive and optimistic, good things will come to you.

The other thing that you have to look out for is your environment. The people you are surrounded everyday is part of your environment. How do they see life? Are they optimistic too? If no, make sure not to give so much energy to negative people. Stop consuming this negativity from the news and social media. Change the influencers that you are following.

I’m not telling you to cut out social media, but use it to your benefit. Start following more spiritual artistic and generally more positive people and you’ll start feeling better.

If you constantly live in fear then poorness will be a byproduct. This is why it’s important to be careful who you surround yourself with and what you consume every day. If there’s nothing you can do about your environment then make sure that you spend some time in nature every day.

These things might look that there’s nothing to do with being rich or poor but believe me, your life is a reflection of your vibrational state. If you want more positive things, raise your vibration. Stop living in fear. Remember, like attracts like. Nothing on the outside can have an impact on you until you accept it.
