The hypocrisy of religious people

Updated: 5 days ago

The hypocrisy of many religious people is that they think they are good just because they believe so. Most of them judge people all the time, curse all the time, hate on everything all the time but for some reason they think they are good people because they go to a building called church and kiss a piece of wood every Sunday. What you believe does not make you a good person but what you do.

Just because you go to church it doesn’t mean that you are a good person. I go to school but that doesn’t make me a good student. And you don’t find God at the church every Sunday at 6 am. You are a part of Him.

Religion is something that they gave us based on the geographical location that we were born. You are a Christian because you were most probably born in Europe or USA. You are a Muslim because you were most probably born in the Middle East. That doesn’t make you any better than the other person.

Churches are just a department of the same system that you call corrupt. Churches are just another type of business and basically churches are just a building. The only difference of that building with other buildings is that they have a different meaning to most people. But that doesn’t change the facts.

Religions are a human creation. Jesus was not a Christian, Buddha was not a Buddhist. It’s people that created ideologies and movements around their teachings for various reasons.

“Hypocrisy and distortion are passing currents under the name of religion” - Mahatma Gandhi

Humans have rewritten the Bible, removed parts from it and made multiple edits through the years to fit their agenda.

We can say that religions are one of the biggest causes of war and hate in the world today. It is also a way to keep us under control. When the world is divided or scared of “sins” you can control them more easily as a government.

That does not mean that you should not believe or stop going to church. If that makes you feel good then keep doing it. But be aware of not being the same hypocrite as the other church goers.

And I’m not also saying that Jesus and other spiritual teachers didn’t exist. What I’m saying is religions are a human creation. You don’t become a good person by what you believe but by what you do.
